Both came from traditional families in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Amparo. As a farmer and coffee grower, Avelino distinguished himself by striving for continuous development in his business. He was one of the first in the entire region to have electricity, a telephone line and running water in his household. Avelino was also a pioneer who installed a coffee processing machine, which was very advanced for the time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe current owner, Ivan Junqueira Ribeiro, bought the shares belonging to his mother, uncles and aunts, and reunited the estate in 2006. Ivan and his brother spent their weekends and holidays at Fazenda do Cruzeiro with their grandparents from a young age.
