Both came from traditional families in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Amparo. As a farmer and coffee grower, Avelino excelled by striving for continuous development in his business. He was one of the first in the entire region to have electricity, a telephone line, and running water in his household. Avelino was also a pioneer who installed a coffee processing machine that was very advanced for its time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe current owner, Ivan Junqueira Ribeiro, purchased the shares of his mother, uncles, and aunts and reunited the estate in 2006. Ivan and his brother spent their weekends and holidays at Fazenda Cruzeiro with their grandparents from an early age.
