People often leave our café with a bag of coffee under their arm, saying: "Your coffees make such lovely gifts!" So we decided to create the perfect souvenir: a coffee full of flavour, stories and the spirit of our hometown.

The Terveiset Mikkelistä! (Greetings from Mikkeli!) coffee was born from our roast master’s very best roasting recipes. This deliciously sweet blend is made to delight both coffee lovers and anyone who loves the charm of our hometown, Mikkeli.

The look of the coffee came about almost by chance. When our Anna spotted a graphic designer looking for Mikkeli-themed illustration ideas in a local Facebook group, the idea was ready. A quick email and teaming up with a like-minded artist, Anna Haimila, got the ideas flying. And so the illustration was born that makes our souvenir coffee the perfect "Greetings from Mikkeli" experience.

This souvenir coffee is more than coffee. It’s a warm message and a journey of flavour that suits any occasion: a gift to bring along, a treat for the summer cottage, a birthday present or simply a keepsake for yourself.

By blending two origins, Brazil and Ethiopia, we get a coffee with fresh, berry-like high notes and a full-bodied, sweet base. The result is balanced and pleasantly nuanced. This blend works brilliantly both as filter coffee and as espresso. It’s versatile enough to please a wide range of tastes, yet special enough to offer a unique coffee experience.

What brewer does Terveiset Mikkelistä! coffee suit?

The coffee is available as whole beans and as filter, boiled coffee and moka pot grind. If you don’t know what brewer the recipient uses, choose filter grind, which suits an ordinary coffee maker. For a cottage where boiled coffee is made, choose boiled coffee grind. If the recipient has their own grinder, choose whole beans. The blend also works as espresso when the beans are ground fine enough.
