Light roast Ethiopian coffee from the Yirgacheffe region

Berry • Honey • Juicy

This sweet, light-roast coffee captivates with its juicy, honey-like notes and fresh berry aromas. We especially recommend Vipunen for filter brewing methods, which allow its natural sweetness and brightness to shine best. Using a manual brewing method, such as a Hario V60, will result in a very bright and clean cup of Vipunen.

About the origin of Vipunen

Founded in 2018, the coffee producer group Boledu means "spring" or "source" in the local language. Boledu founders Abyote Ageze and Mebrahtu Aynalem have over 12 years of experience in the coffee industry.
Boledu has produced high-quality coffees with various smallholder farmers at their own washing stations in the Guji zone, Dimtu Hamblea, Yirgacheffe, Aricha, and Gedeb.

Boledu coffee producer group owners Abyote Ageze and Mebrahtu Aynalem have worked with farmers for a long time, and before every harvest, the producer group trains the farmers in specialty coffee standards.
Boledu also pays smallholder farmers a higher premium than the market price, provided that the farmers deliver consistent and ripe coffee cherries.
Quality controllers work at the washing stations to monitor the quality of the coffee cherry batches brought in by farmers. This coffee was produced at the Aricha washing station.
